On April 28, throughout the U.S., citizens will use creative ways to spell out the word "IMPEACH" in order to get the message across to Congress: Bush and Cheney have lied the nation into a war of aggression, are spying in open violation of the law, and have sanctioned the use of torture. These are high crimes and misdemeanors that demand accountability through the Constitutional mechanism of impeachment.
Events are planned from Alaska to Florida, from Maine to California. An "Impeach Plane" with a huge banner will fly over the New Orleans JazzFest and there will be human murals on beaches and in Central Park. New York will also be hit with an unprecedented impeachment light show projecting ten-story high IMPEACH images on buildings.
In Rome, a city known for great backdrops, we plan to spell it out for Congress and send the message across the Atlantic with a three prong approach: an impeachment rally at the Colosseum, a mobile photo-op team, and one-of-a-kind actions you can do on your own.

We will have huge signs, each with one letter, spelling out IMPEACH! Along balloons, flags and stickers. We will hand out flyers, collect signatures on impeachment petitions and help tourists from the U.S. fill out the Do-It-Yourself Impeachment forms. And we will invite passers-by to stop and have their photo taken with Impeach signs and the Colosseum as a backdrop.

Mobile Photo-Op Team A group of 7 USC4P&J members will travel around the city wearing t-shirts, each with one letter spelling out I-M-P-E-A-C-H-! and pose in front of monuments such as the Pantheon, the Vatican and Piazza Navona as well as the U.S. Embassy.
One-of-a-kind Actions In the days leading up to April 28 we encourage everyone to come up with their own creative was to spell out Impeach and send photos in to be added to our Impeachment Day collection.
Some ideas are:
Print an impeach sign and take a photo of it being held by gladiators, by a horse drawn carriage driver, etc.
In a group, order 7 cappuccini asking the barista to write a letter in each, or do the same with 7 pizzas.
Sneak an impeach sign in a shop window.
Put impeach signs on Rome's talking statues such as Pasquino.
Print an impeach label to put on a wine bottle.
Make a replica of a street sign such as Piazza dell´Impeachment.
