Activism Spotlight - Speaking Out in the U.S.Protests, rallies and creative activism in the U.S.June 12, 2006 Columbia, Missouri; Oakland, California; Watsonville, California; St. Johnsbury, Vermont; Omaha, Nebraska 16 Year Old Organizes Youth Peace March in Missouri In Columbia, Missouri, 50 young people participated in the Youth Peace March organized by 16-year-old Saxon Brown.

Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army (CIRCA) The Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army (CIRCA) occupied the military recruitment center in downtown Oakland, California for about 45 minutes until they were forced out and the center shut down for the day.

The "Counting Lives Lost, Making Tangible an Abstract Measure of Grief" installation in Watsonville, California uses 4 inch figures to represent the loss of life in the war and occupation of Iraq. For every U.S. soldier who has died, 16 Iraqis (by conservative estimates) have been killed.
