Organizations Promoting Peace and Justice

In the USA:

United for Peace and Justice - a coalition of more than 1300 local and national groups throughout the United States who have joined together to oppose our government's policy of permanent warfare and empire-building.

Not in Our Name - national network of individuals and organizations committed to standing with the people of the world.

ANSWER - coalition of organizations, prominent individuals and scores of organizing centers across the USA campaigning against U.S. intervention and for civil rights and for social and economic justice for working and poor people inside the United States.

Common Cause - a nonpartisan nonprofit advocacy organization founded in 1970 as a vehicle for citizens to make their voices heard in the political process and to hold their elected leaders accountable to the public interest.

True Majority - a grassroots education and advocacy project founded by Ben Cohen of Ben and Jerry’s fame. Register and take action on issues affecting the USA and the world. See also the PAC, True Majority Action.

WorkingForChange
An online journal of progressive news and opinion published by Working Assets. Founded on the belief that building a business and a better world aren't mutually exclusive, Working Assets has been helping busy people make a difference since 1985. Donne in nero - Italian section of the international women's organization (Women in Black) committed to peace with justice and actively opposed to injustice, war, militarism and other forms of violence.

Disarmo.org - Italian section of Control Arms, working for an International Arms Trade Treaty.

Attac - Association for the Taxation of financial Transactions for the Aid of Citizens, Attac Italia is the Italian section of the international network founded in France in 1998.

Assopace - L'Associazione per la Pace, Italian organization founded in 1988 promoting a culture of peace.

Ostinati per la pace - volunteer group holding vigils at Palazzo Chigi in Rome asking for the withdrawal of thr troops and an end to the occupation.

Iraq Deaths Estimator
Did someone tell you that U.S. military intervention in Iraq was over? Not true: we're at it again. This time the pretext to drop bombs is "curbing ISIS" (which was created by the U.S. in the first place, to overturn al-Malaki in Iraq and then Assad in Syria, and is now out of hand. Like what happened to "our" creature al Qaeda in Afghanistan). And the death toll continues to rise...
Write your senators and tell them: "Enough! U.S. out!! Iraq has shown it can curb ISIS by itself!"
