We've heard from you at the film series, at the protests and via
email. You've expressed your outrage at: the Bush administration,
the ongoing tragedy of Iraq, the military industrial complex,
corporate control of the media, etc. Well, we are suggesting a way
for you to channel that feeling of outrage into something
constructive by taking an active part in our organization.
Below are descriptions of a number of ways you
can contribute. If you are interested, contact us via email at: volunteer@peaceandjustice.it. Please also let us know if you are
interested in helping in any other ways not mentioned.
Latest News We send out a weekly latest news/take action bulletin and we have a team that works on this. Each member of the team
is responsible for assembling 5-6 news items for the weekly mailing
on a rotating basis. The more people we have on the team, the
better.
Film presenters We try to have a different person present each film in our series
Eyes Wide Open. Presenters will be responsible for preparing a
handout on the film, introducing the film, guiding the discussion
afterwards and writing up an account of the evening for our web
site.
Let us know if you are interested in presenting any of the upcoming films. Also,
if you know of a speaker for one of the films, please let us know.
Translators We want to make more of the content on our web site available in
Italian. We need translators, for the most part for English to Italian
and will also occasionally need translation from Italian to English.
We'd like to put together a pool of translators to contact on an as
needed basis.
Web site promotion There are a number of directories and sites on the web where we could insert our site or exchange links with similar sites. We need
someone to look for these sites and add the info on ours.
Writers
For those of you who like to write, we have an Articles section on our web site
where we publish articles by our members. Let us know if you'd like
to write on a particular issue. We also need volunteers to write accounts of our events for the History section of our web site.
